1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the website affinitygroup.sg and its sub-domains (the “Site”), operated by Affinity Group, a group of representatives of Infinity Financial Advisory Pte. Ltd. (“we”, “us” or “our”). Where you go on to receive financial advice from one of our representatives, Infinity Financial Advisory Pte. Ltd.’s own privacy notice and advisory documentation will also apply.
2. Personal data we collect
We collect personal data that you provide to us directly, and limited data collected automatically when you use the Site.
- Contact details you submit through our enquiry forms, career interest forms, event registrations, WhatsApp and email — such as your name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, company, headcount and the topic you wish to discuss.
- Career information you choose to share when exploring a role with us — such as your professional background and answers to our short fit questionnaire.
- Messages you exchange with our “Ask Nexus” website assistant. Conversations are stored against an anonymous session identifier so the assistant can respond in context and so our team can review quality. Please do not enter sensitive information (such as NRIC numbers, bank details or health information) in the chat.
- Usage data collected automatically — pages viewed, referral links (including advisor referral codes), approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and interactions such as button clicks and form submissions.
3. How we use your personal data
- To respond to your enquiries and connect you with an appropriate Affinity Group representative.
- To register you for, confirm and send updates about seminars, webinars and open-house events you sign up for, and to follow up on products and services discussed at those events.
- To assess and progress career conversations where you have expressed interest in joining Affinity Group.
- To send you marketing, advertising or promotional materials related to the content of this Site by call, text or email, where you have consented to receive them.
- To operate, secure, measure and improve the Site, including understanding which pages, campaigns and referral links are effective.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including those applicable to licensed financial advisory activities in Singapore.
4. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies keep the Site working (for example, remembering an advisor referral so the right person follows up). We also use Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to understand how visitors use the Site. These tools may set cookies and receive hashed contact details and event data (such as a page view or form submission). You can control cookies through your browser settings and manage ad preferences through your Meta account settings; disabling cookies may affect some Site features.
5. Who we share your personal data with
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose it to:
- Infinity Financial Advisory Pte. Ltd. and the individual Affinity Group representative(s) assigned to your enquiry, so that they can contact and advise you.
- Event partners and sponsors for events you register for, for the purposes of registration, attendance and follow-up, as stated on the relevant registration form.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, including website hosting, email delivery, scheduling (e.g. Calendly), messaging (e.g. WhatsApp), analytics and advertising platforms (e.g. Meta) and AI language-model providers that power the Ask Nexus assistant. These providers are permitted to use your data only to provide services to us.
- Regulators, law enforcement or other parties where required by law or to protect our rights.
6. Overseas transfers
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA, including through contractual safeguards.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or as required by law or regulation. Enquiry, event and career records are typically retained while your enquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; chat transcripts and analytics data are retained for quality review and reporting and then deleted or anonymised.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and restricted administrative dashboards — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights: access, correction and withdrawal of consent
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw any consent you have given for us to collect, use or disclose your personal data (including for marketing) at any time. To do so, email marketing@affinitygroup.sg with the subject “PDPA request”. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with the PDPA. Withdrawing consent may mean we are unable to continue providing certain services to you. To stop marketing messages, you may also reply “UNSUBSCRIBE” to any text message or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
10. Do Not Call registry
Where you have provided your Singapore telephone number and consented to being contacted, we may contact you by call or text message notwithstanding any registration with the Do Not Call Registry, in accordance with the PDPA. You may withdraw this consent at any time as described above.
11. Third-party websites
The Site links to and embeds content from third-party services such as event registration pages, Calendly, Vimeo, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. Those services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. This Policy does not cover their practices.
12. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date, and takes effect when posted.
